【FW】2024 Global Youth Trends Forum

In 2024, the theme of the forum is “Connect & Engage: Global Partnership for Youth” with three sub-topics including “Participation in International Organizations,” “Overseas Volunteering,” and “Gap Year.” We will bring experts and young leaders from the world together to dive deep into the realities and challenges of youth global participation in the post-pandemic landscape. Our aim is to equip youths with the knowledge to navigate shifting global trends, utilize harness available resources, make meaningful impacts, and uncover diverse opportunities for international engagement.

About the event
I. Date: November 16- 17 , 2024 (Saturday to Sunday)
II. Host : The Youth Development Administration, Ministry of Education
III. Venue: Great Skyview hotel (No. 101, Bangka Blvd., Wanhua Dist., Taipei City)
IV. Event language: English

Registration Information
I. Target participants:
(I) Taiwan youths with "R.O.C. nationality": Individuals aged 18-35 (born between January 1, 1989 and December 31, 2006) This forum operates entirely in English, and therefore participants are required to have at least an intermediate level of English proficiency as demonstrated by the General English Proficiency Test or an equivalent English language certification.
(II) International Youths with Student Status in Taiwan: Individuals aged 18-35 (born between January 1, 1989, and December 31, 2006) who currently enroll in a Taiwan college or university and possess proficient English communication skills. Proof of current enrollment in a Taiwanese university or college, such as a certificate of enrollment or a copy of the student ID card, is required for verification purposes. 
(III) Participants should actively engage in discussions and contribute to the forum topics (refer to Appendix II). This year, we plan to recruit 130 primary candidates and 30 alternates (the number of alternates may increase depending on the situation)
(IV) Students from economically disadvantaged families (low and middle income households) who do not possess the aforementioned English proficiency certification documents may provide their last year’s English course transcript and a recommendation letter from their English teacher in school as an alternative to the equivalent-level English examination certification.

Registration method
Online registration is now open and will be available until 5:00 PM on September 25 (Wed.). Please visit the iYouth Platform for Making Youth’s International Dream Happen (http://iyouth.youthhub.tw) to complete the online registration form and download the application form (see Appendix III). After filling out the form, please upload it to the platform. It is essential to complete the online registration and upload the required documents to finalize the application process. Incomplete registrations, late submissions, or missing documents will not be accepted or considered for further processing.

[Note] The online registration system will be closed promptly at 5:00 PM on September 25 (Wed.).
Applicants who have not completed the registration process or encountered insufficient processing time due to the operating system will not be accepted. Please plan your time carefully and complete the registration process early to avoid any last-minute complications.
