To strengthen ties with Southeast Asian alumni and promote engagement with current overseas students, the Indonesian Committee of Alumni Associations in Taiwan (ICATI) visited National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (YunTech) on May 13, 2025, for a series of activities including a formal courtesy call, campus tour, and a face-to-face meeting with current Indonesian students.

The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Hwang Shyh-Huei, Vice President and Dean of the Office of International Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Chen Fang-Ju, Director of the Division of International Exchange and Collaboration.
During the visit, the delegation engaged in a meeting with the Office of International Affairs, where both parties exchanged views on future collaboration opportunities involving alumni engagement, talent exchange, internship matching, and support mechanisms for overseas students. A highlight of the visit was the meaningful face-to-face interaction between the ICATI representatives and current Indonesian students at YunTech.
In the meeting, students shared their personal experiences of studying in Taiwan, expressing gratitude for the university’s friendly and supportive learning and living environment. They also showed enthusiasm for participating in future alumni association activities. The ICATI representatives encouraged students to make full use of available resources and to expand their professional networks, envisioning them as future bridges between Taiwan and Indonesia.
This visit not only deepened the connection between YunTech and Indonesian alumni but also demonstrated the university’s proactive commitment to supporting international students and fostering a global alumni network. YunTech will continue to strengthen international cooperation and promote a diverse and inclusive international learning environment.
