僑生居留證(ARC)申請

1. First-time ARC Application

（1）Foreign Students / Overseas Chinese Students

  • Application deadline: You must apply for the ARC within 30 days after entering Taiwan. Late applications are subject to a fine ranging from NT$2,000 to NT$10,000.
  • Application fee: Overseas Chinese students NT$500 per year; Foreign students NT$1,000 per year (Up to 3 years per application)
  • Required documents:
    • One recent color passport-sized photo (white background, taken within the past year, hatless, full face)
    • Passport
    • Visa and entry stamp
    • Admission Letter or Distribution Notice from the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC)
    • Enrollment Certificate
    • Proof of residence in Taiwan (the rental agreement must be under your name; if not, the leaseholder must provide a Letter of Consent for Residence — please refer to the sample format）

（2）Students from Hong Kong and Macao

  • Application deadline: You must apply for the ARC within the validity period of your Entry Permit. Late applications are subject to a fine ranging from NT$2,000 to NT$10,000.
  • Application fee: NT$2,600 per application, valid for three years.

Replacement for Lost ARC

Application Time

Apply within 3 months before the expiration date. Late applications are subject to a fine of NT$10,000–50,000.

If there are changes to your residence address, passport number, etc., apply within 30 days after the change takes effect. Late applications are subject to a fine of NT$2,000–10,000.

Apply immediately if your ARC is lost. Once a replacement is issued, the old one becomes invalid.

3. Leave of Absence / Withdrawal

If a student takes a leave of absence, withdraws, changes student status, or loses student status, the ARC will be automatically invalidated.
You must leave Taiwan within 10 days from the effective date of such change.

 

4. Post-graduation Job-seeking ARC

  • Students who wish to stay in Taiwan after graduation to seek employment must apply for a Job-seeking ARC at the National Immigration Agency within 10 days after receiving the diploma. Overseas Chinese and foreign students may stay in Taiwan for up to 2 years to seek employment, students from Hong Kong and Macao may stay for up to 1 year.
  • Application fee: Overseas Chinese students NT$500 per application; Foreign students NT$1,000 per application; Hong Kong & Macao students NT$300 per application.
  • Required documents:
    • One 2-inch color photo (white background, hatless, full face)
    • Original and photocopy of ARC
    • Original and photocopy of passport
    • Original and photocopy of diploma.

1. 初次申辦居留證 (First-time ARC Application)

（1）外籍生/僑生

  • 申辦時限: 入境台灣後30日內必須完成居留證申請，逾期將處新台幣2,000–10,000元罰鍰
  • 申辦費用: 僑生NT$500元/年，外籍生NT$1000元/年（每次最長可申請3年有效期）
  • 應備文件:
    • 近期一年內脫帽、正面白底彩色照片
    • 護照
    • 簽證與入境章
    • 錄取通知書或海聯會分發通知書
    • 在學證明
    • 在台居住地址證明（租約上必須為本人；若非本人簽約，需簽約人填寫居住同意書，請參考格式範本）

（2）港澳生

  • 申辦時限: 須於入台證有效期間內完成居留證申請，逾期將處新台幣2,000–10,000元罰鍰
  • 申辦費用: NT$2600元，有效期3年

3. 休學、退學須出境 (Leave of Absence / Withdrawal)

若學生休學、退學、變更或喪失學生身分，居留證自動失效，須於該事實生效之翌日起10日內離境。

 

4. 畢業後留居留延期 (Post-graduation Job-seeking ARC)

  • 學生如欲畢業後留台尋找工作，須於領取畢業證書後10日內至移民署申請「覓職居留證」，僑外生可留台找工作最長2年，港澳生最長1年
  • 申辦費用: 僑生NT$500元/次，外籍生NT$1000元/次，港澳生NT$300元/次
  • 應備文件:
    • 二吋半身脫帽正面白底彩色照片一張
    • 居留證正本及影本各一份
    • 護照正本及影本各一份
    • 畢業證書正本及影本各一份
